Land Trust Alliance Accreditation
The Platte Land Trust is a member of the national organization Land Trust Alliance (LTA) whose purpose is to “support land trusts so they can save and secure more lands now and for future generations.” In 2006, LTA formed an independent accreditation program “to build and recognize strong land trusts, foster public confidence in land conservation and help ensure the long-term protection of land.”
Platte Land Trust’s Strategic Plan 2025 includes LTA accreditation. The Board of Directors is preparing the organization for registration and application to achieve this goal and mark of distinction.
Accreditation is a multi-year effort. We’ll keep you posted on progress.
