Harmony Farm

The Harmony Farm conservation easement is 92 acres of wildlife habitat located west of Warrensburg, Missouri. The easement permanently protects restored grassland, woodland, pond, and stream habitats in the Little Blackwater Creek watershed. Habitat along the stream protects water quality – the riparian buffer of oak-hickory woods on the slopes and intact floodplain.

Forty-four remnant woody species, 93 remnant grass and forb species, and 40+ planted species give diversity and quality to the land. Wildlife sited on the property include white-tailed deer, coyote, bobcat, beaver, opossum, raccoon, mink, rabbit, mouse, otter, bats, numerous amphibians and reptiles, and several bird species such as hawks, vulture, great blue heron, yellow-billed cuckoo, flycatchers, woodpeckers, songbirds, and turkey.

This protected land provides natural areas for wildlife to live and roam. Harmony Farm is not open to the public.
