Nature Meetups provide a chance to gather with others who enjoy the outdoors.

At NATURE MEETUP – nature programs and community service events. Nature Meetups are designed to be casual with no registration required. You can show up and enjoy some time in nature; maybe learn something new.

Programs are FREE and everyone is welcome.

Nature programs include bird and tree hikes, held at Charlotte Sawyers Nature Area or a local public park and trail. Programs are led by Missouri Master Naturalists. In 2026, several bird hikes are planned. Check the Events page for details.

Community service centers on habitat improvements at Charlotte Sawyers Nature Area in southern Platte County, 6075 Union Chapel Road. Monthly workdays (generally the second Sunday each month) are dedicated to invasive plant removal, improving plant diversity, woodland management, prescribed burns, and trail maintenance.
